Oct/Nov, 2016 – Composing your Duo for Mallet Percussion
Monday, 10/31, 2016 – Submit a completed, first version of your mallet percussion duo as either a .sib or .xml file (no .pdf or handwritten submissions) in your Composition Seminar Drop Box for Dr. A, who once it is approved by her, will forward it to Matt and Jeff. It should be between 3′ and 5′ in length.
Thursday, November 17th, 2016: Percussion Studio @ 6:00 p.m. – Mallet Percussion Critique Workshop I with Matt and Jeff.
Monday, November 28th, 2016: Incorporating the various critiques of your mallet percussion duo to date, submit the revised, polished version of your entire duo as either a .sib or .xml file (no .pdf or handwritten submissions) directly via e-mail to Dr. A, who once it is approved by her, will forward it to Matt and Jeff. You must also include a Word doc with the following:
- Your bio: 150 word count limit
- Program notes: 150 word count limit
- Title: the exact title of your mallet percussion duo as you wish it to appear in the program
Thursday, mid-December, 2016: Rm. 106 @ Time TBA – Mallet Percussion Critique Workshop II with Matt and Jeff.
Monday, 1/9, 2015: Incorporating the final critiques of your mallet percussion duo, submit the polished, FINAL version of your entire duo as either a .sib or .xml file (no .pdf or handwritten submissions) directly via e-mail to Dr. A, who once it is approved by her, will forward it to Matt and Jeff.
Monday-Tuesday, March 6th-7th, 2015 – Dress rehearsals in Beinecke Library. Time TBA.
Wednesday, March 8th, 2016 – Mallet Percussion Concert @ Beinecke Library. 5:15 pm.
